A “must do” tour in Arenal for sure. Beautiful and impressive Arenal Volcano will amuse you since trip’s beginning. A comfortable van with air conditioning will be waiting for you at the scheduled time at hotel’s lobby.
During the transfer to the trail, which takes about 10 to 30 minutes depending of the hotel location, a guide will talk briefly about the tour itinerary and explain you with detail some really interesting data, about the volcano and the area in general as well.
When arriving to place for the hike in the trail, get ready with these tips: apply bug repellent, sun block lotion, take a bottle of water (included) and a quick visit to the restrooms of the place if necessary.
Then, you’ll walk through different scenarios with variable kinds of vegetation where there’s a chance to meet the local fauna.
You will also stand at a viewpoint incredibly close to the volcano and step on old lava flows turned into to stone. The guide will do he’s best to give you catching and interesting information about the place, the hiding fauna among the trees and bushes and of course about the Arenal Volcano, so the 2 or 2 and a half hours of trail will be really entertaining.

You can add Hot Springs to your Arenal Volcano Hike in the options when adding it to shopping cart. It is highly recommended as they’re a perfect complement for the hike, so you can experience Arenal Volcano in it’s maximum expression.
These waters warmed up by the volcano’s heat, are full of minerals and are considered a Nature’s healing gift, as they promote better blood circulation, relax you and provide many other benefits that will make you feel awesome.
At the end of the hike, a short drive of about 10 or 15minutes will take you to the hot springs facility you’ve chosen, so you can relax in the pools and choose among the different temperatures the one that makes you feel better.
We recommend trying the hot water pools and then switching to a cold water pool, you can do this many times if you like. It will relax and restore your body in a surprising way. Enjoy the water, the jungle or gardens that surround you in this unique natural experience.
A couple hours later you’ll be invited to the restaurant, where a delicious dinner awaits. Last, once you are relaxed and satisfied we’ll drive you back to your hotel, so you can rest as never before.
